It's for the Math In Action conference at Grand Valley State in Allendale, MI. I didn't expect the process to be so short and truncated. On the proposal form, they only wanted a title (one line) and a description consisting of 20 words or less. How do you evaluate possible presenters on such small data sets?
Anyway, here's my submission:
Presentation Title: Embracing rich contexts, complex tasks and experiments in Algebra 1 and 2
Grade Level: 6-8,9-12
Description: One teacher's story of moving towards inquiry-based learning and peer collaboration in the math classroom.
We'll see.
