Note to visitors:
A hearty welcome to you!
This website's primary purpose was for use in my classes. As such, its organization naturally followed the information taught in those particular courses. Now, my teaching assignment shifted from Christian education to public education. Needless to say, they didn't want the 'religious' stuff on the website I use for my classes. My current class website is located here. You're welcome to look around and benefit from what we're learning.
Here's a quick run through of the information you'll currently find on the website:
The math classes are slowly coming online as I transition from a standard teaching approach towards a larger integration of the web in my classroom. I've experimented some with flipping my 8th grade classroom and using the EduCreations app to create screencasts of sample problems and questions on homework. I ended up switching over to Explain Everything mostly because I don't want some random startup in control of the content I create with my students; who knows where they'll be in two years. All in all, I'm not that impressed with the flipping concept; I miss the part where students create mathematical content on their own and we formalize it as a class. So... I stopped and started pushing towards incorporating experiments and rich tasks into my classes.
I expect the process of incorporating digital content in a significant way to take several years.
