As part of the Algebra 1 standards for comparing distributions, if you haven't checked out the Math Assessment Project stuff, you're missing out. Their card sorts are the best. I use Representing Data with Frequency Graphs and Representing Data with Box Plots. However, by this time in the year my students are done cutting out cards for me. And, as a little bit a fun practice, we create frequency graphs and box plots of our class heights. It's amazing how when students gather a bit of data all of a sudden you have buy-in for a solid 30 minutes of work.
